I am a newbie. I'm trying to install redhat 9 in sata drive but setup doesn't detecting my drive. I'm using sis raid. wat can I do to install redhat or any linux in sata

1. For SATA support out of the box, you'll need to install a distro with a 2.6 kernel. If you want a distro which closely resembles RH, but with 2.6 kernel, take a look at Fedora Core or CentOS.
2. If you have RAID setup, you can't multi-boot OS'es from a RAID setup. i.e. you'll have to install Linux to a drive which is not connected in a RAID setup.Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
