    PLEASE HELP!!!!! (modem driver)


    hey ive been searching for a modem driver over a week now for Mandrake 9.2 its killing me!!!! :o
    if some one could please help i would be so gratefull,my modem is a
    D-link DFM-560i+

    some admin will move it, jsut answer the question.

    anyway. The modem name in itself is nto very useful, because the driver needs to be for the modem chipset, not the manufacturer.

    can u run "lspcidrake" and/or "lspci -vv" and post up the chipset id.

    it shoudl look somethign like 14F1:1085 like mine does. the numbers wont be the same but it will be 2, 4 digit numbers with : in between

    I moved it to the installation forum.

    In any case, Rare177, is this a built-in PCI modem, some kind of ethernet modem, a serial modem, USB...? And what is it for; phone line, ADSL...?
