open /var/log/XFree_bla_bla.log

Ok, there are literally like 50 diffrent things that say somthing along the lines of
Also there are vrefresh out of range errors, unknown reasons, bad mode/clock/interlace/doublescan.(II) NEOMAGIC(0): Not using default mode "*insert mode here*" (vrefresh out of range)
i think for some reason it cant seem to find a proper refresh rate anywhere. Anyone know of a database of refresh rates for lcds?
The only error lines actually have to do with the two mouse port setup to allow the plugging in of an external mouse.

(II) lines are only information.ignore them.
try changing your vga driver to vesa
this may halp.Have a nice day
