How do I go about upgrading RAM?
I have a Dell Dimension Desktop 3.2GHZ, with 512 MB. 9800 Radeon Pro.
I want to play oblivion, and I hear 512 won’t cut the mustard.
What would you recommend I do?
How much should I choose, bearing in mind I'm a avid gamer.
Where do I purchase RAM online in the UK?
Is it difficult to install?
Is there a programme to tell me what kind of RAM I require?
Should I get someone to install it for me?
Thanks for any help.

RAM is one of the easiest upgrades out there so you can probably install it yourself. Check your motherboard manual to see what kind of RAM you need and if you have a 512 meg stick on board already, I'd buy another stick of 512 meg to give you a full gig. Your motherboard manual will tell you how the sticks should be installed. If you don't have the manual, you can probably find it online with a search.
