You should go to www.distrowatch.com, and look for a distro to download.
Read some of the comments that are on distrowatch about the distros.
I recommend you go with suse or Fedora if you have a dvd burner.
f no dvd burner, go with Mepis, Knoppix, Mandriva or PcLinuxOS.
Then go to http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/ins...nstall-cd.html find out how to do an md5sum(for making sure that the iso is good) and how to burn the iso.Pick up a starving dog, prosper him, and he won't bite you.
This is the main difference between men and dogs.
