    Boot problem with Mandrake 9.2

I just got Mandrake 9.2 and it installed easly enough but when I attempt to boot it up it gets so far and stops. I was really surprised at how fast and easy the installation was, there has been many improvements since 7.1.

Here is the last line it displays before it stops responding.

    Code:
Kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
       spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7.
Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

I still don't have any idea what the problem was but I formated my entire HD and reset the partitions and everything seems to be working now...
