Sound Modules
Every time I boot up the wrong modules for my sound card gets loaded (mandrake 9) i have to unload them and load maestro manualy every time, these gets loaded even though alsa and sound
are disable and entries in etc/modules has been removed. Ive read up on a few howto now but no
clue where to look any more
. What script or utill gets called and where is the entries that loads these mods???
Any help thanks.

I don't know enough about Mandrake to help you all the way, but I can give you some pointers. init(8) is the first program the kernel starts after it boots itself. init reads /etc/inittab(5) to determine what to do next. The file you're looking for is most probably defined in the line beginning with si.
