Switching Hard Drives

I'm laughing...

I would try your suggestion but to my surprise my damn CD-ROM will not work now!

I go to the control panel/ hardware setup and it says its configured properly.

However when I attempt a package or software install from CD-ROM it continues to ask for the disk that is needed but does not load it. I'm so close now and wish this could be done now.

If you have any ideas on why this is also that would be great!

if u can get linux running then just edit stuff from there, i was under the impression that it had locked u out/not bootable coz of messed configs

<edit> do u have another comp u can put the disk into and edit it from there.</edit>
