Help with RH 8 bootup
Recently I decided to try and learn more about Linux, so I picked up a book and started reading. I just installed RH 8.0 on my laptop which is rather old. If needed I can give the specifics. Before this I had RH 6.0 loaded on it and it worked fine. The RH 8.0 installation seemed to go fine but when I boot up it freezes. Before it freezes I get the following mesage.
Starting pcmcia: PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:13.0.
Please try using pci=biosirq
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin B of device 00:13.1.
Please try using pci=biosirq
Yenta IRQ list 06b8, PCI irq0
Socket status: 30000007.
I have no need of my pcmcia device and am wondering if there is some way I can disable it so RH boots. Will this fix the problem. Also this I am dual booting it Windows 98. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is that during kernel startup or during init startup?
