Grub Raid
Hi all:
I have 4 hard drives:
1&2 - RAID0 - Windows XP
3 - Storage
4 - Ubuntu
I can boot into XP or Ubuntu just fine but only be switching the drive ordering in my BIOS. I am having trouble getting GRUB to boot into XP. Can GRUB boot into a RAIDed Windows drive? Is there something extra I need to do?
Thanks,
John

Is it a soft raid or a hard raid? If it is a hard raid it should be no problem, soft raid can be messy though.

It's a software RAID setup on an nVidia motherboard (ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe).

This is totally insane...
I just asked the same question in the Ubuntu forum.
Mine is a hard raid; i mean, thru enabled in the bios.
I have grub loaded on one of the non-raid drives. I'm trying to figure out what GRUB commands are going to help me boot XP on the RAID 0 array.
So far, I have no idea. Thanks for any help.
