    Mouse stops moving horizontally

I have a new HP m7330n Athlon 64 dual 4200X2 with two SATA drives, one with XPMedia the other with Fedora Core 5. Windows has no trouble with the mouse but the Fedora loses the ability to move side to side; up and down movement always works. If I go to a login screen and back to my session the mouse starts working again. Any help would be appreciated.

    Smile mouse problem solved

Only the smp kernel has this problem. I switched to the regular kernel and I have the 64 bit kernel on order. Both apparently work.
