Problem with Linux XP desktop 2006 installation
I downloaded linux XP desktop. After inserting into my CD-Rom in order to install it. It displays grub>_
and then, there is nothing. How can I install this distribution of linux?

hmm are you sure that is grub and not boot?

Not trying to start a distro war, but why chose Linux XP? It looks like crap, and cuts off certain features after 99 boots and forces you to either reinstall or buy to activate them again.

- 03-09-2007 #6umm... I know this isn't a "which distro" forum, but I'd have to agree with tech_man. If you really want linux, you want something that's going to last as long as you want, not 99 boots. I use ubuntu, and I know it works to boot - you may have to go into your BIOS and change the cd drive to boot first.Not trying to start a distro war, but why chose Linux XP? If I were you, I'd try something else.
