TV Tuner Cards

hi all
i have been trying to install tv tuner cards but u know i couldnt even start the process to install them coz i got confused frm where to start
I M TOTALLY NEW TO LINUX
plz help me

my system is as follow:-
Kernel version 2.6.9-5.El

Video Card:- nVidia Corporation NV18 [GeForce MX440AGP8x]
Driver- card: NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX(generic)

My TV Tuner Cards r
1.) WinTV PCI-FM model 647 from Hauppauger Chipset:- CONEXANT, BROADCAST DECODER CX23881-39
2.) Cinergy 1200 DVB-C from TERRATEC Chipset:- Philips SAA7146 (rev 01) c

#dmesg | grep bttv (but it didnt give any output n took me back to the command prompt)

i also checked in /dev directory but there is no entry for these devices

i have read that these modules should be installed in ur system that get tv tuner card working

videodev.ko: The video4linux device module
bttv.ko: Driver for the Hauppauge card.
i2c.ko: Interface for bus to framegrabber.
tuner.ko: Tuner module to switch chanels.

i checked that videodev.ko n i2c.ko r there but i didnt find bttv.ko n tuner.ko
i have no idea wat to do but it's very urgent for me to install these cards

plz help me to come out from this problem

Just connect the card and restart the system it will automatically find the drivers and install it for you
then go to yast control center and click on hardware and select tv card i think thats all u have to do

but i dont know from where i can access yast n fyi i m using Red hat Enterprise i think this yast is suse linux is this i can find in linux too
plz tell me in bit detail coz i m not too much fimiliar with this linux environment
but i like to work mor e n more on linux
