Hello,
I have a serious problem with my Suze 10.0 system and want to know if I re-install if it will format and wipe all my data out or will it keep the data as windoze does?

I have no way to backup my data as I cannot access my DVD drive in KDE as it says KDE mediamanager is not loaded.

I have tried to reinstall KDE and Yast2 using "Smart" , it goes through the motions as all installed but still same problems.
