SuSE 9 on freezing during network use
I've just installed SuSE 9.0 alongside windows XP.
Everything is working well apart from some complete freezeups that only seem to happen when I'm using the network for any purpoes.
I presume that it's an incompatibility with the NIC.
Saying that, I installed it over FTP and it manages to get an IP address via DHCP with no problems.
The NIC is an onboard Broadcom 440x (on an Asus A7V8X).
Does anyone think that the network interface is causing the problem, or is SuSE 9 particularly dodgy in any aspects?
I've searched around and not found much about specific problems with Broadcom cards.
Thanks for any advice, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
