Need help choosing distro for older system
Hi there noob here. I have a newer dell laptop running ubuntu and winXP(microshaft sux!!!!) neway I also have a desctop with an AMD K6-2 500mhz, 192 mg ram, ati rage pro 128, 8gig hd and a 1 gig hd. rite now it has dsl but thats far to boring and minimal(and non user friendly) for me. I tried to install ubuntu from the live cd but it didnt work, it ran waaaaay slow and froze up when I told it to install. Im assuming that my pc is to old and slo for ubuntu. I am thinking 'bout xubuntu or bsd but am open to any suggestions. Any input would be appriciated.
