Some problems with Windows and Linux

    Hi,
I have a box with Windows 98 and Linux on dual-boot. I'm having some problem with my Windows( as usual). I need to re-install Windows 98. However, I am unsure of doing so as in all probability i'll lose the MBR config and the LILO prompt. Is there any solution to reinstall Windows without causing any damage to Linux?

Thanks for any replies in advance

You can create a boot disk with "mkbootdisk". If Windows decides to trash your MBR, you can boot Linux with that disk and run "lilo" to restore it.

use the kernel on your distro install cd to boot up after reinstallin win98 and hit /sbin/lilo as root. should do the trick
