mandrake 9.2 install problem
hi, I have just installed XP home on a 60gb partition on my 120gb hdd, which worked fine. Then I installed linux on the remaining 60gb on my hdd. I followed the install instructions and the installation seemed to work fine. But when i choose linux from the boot loader, linux appears to load fine but doesnt load a screen after booting. so when linux boots i just get a black screen with a few blue lines at the bottom.
My system spec is:
2.66ghz P4
FX5200 geforce 4 128mb
1024mb of DDR 333mhz RAM
120gb hdd
sound blaster audigy 2 zs
AV49VN shuttle mainboard
thanks for any assistance.

what are the lines at the bottom?
do you have a "login: " prompt, or error messages, or something else?

im running a dual boot so the lilo boot loader comes up and i can choose from a few linux options, windows or fail safe. When I choose windows my XP starts and it runs fine. But when I choose the 'linux' a loading screen comes up saying booting linux, and there is a progress bar. When this finishes loading I get a black screen with broken up blue lines at the very bottom.
