    How many CD's?????

    I have never tried Slackware, but I hear it's pretty good, so I decide to try it. The problem is, I don't want to download/burn 4 CD's, how much do I need to have the basic install plus some major applications (e.g OpenOffice, Gaim, Gimp, ect)?
    Same question to Gentoo.

    If you use gentoo then you can download the 50mb install system then you only need to download the base system and whatever apps you need
