Can't get Grub to boot Linux!!!
I have installed Linux 7.2 on a IBM xseries 235 server with 5 scsi hard drives and ServerRaid-5i Ultra320 scsi controller.
I started my installation by configuring the raid controller. I created 2 arrays, raid 1 and raid5. I then proceeded to install Linux and load the
drivers.
After the installation, I reboot and my system and it just hangs and the screen reads " GRUB _ ".
I can boot my Linux system with a boot disk, so it must be some type of Grub configuration problem.
Any suggestions???

By that underscore (" GRUB _ "), were you referring to the blinking cursor? In any case, are you sure that that is exactly how it reads? I don't recognize it from any GRUB stage.

Yes, This is what the screen reads. My problem was that I was installing
Grub on the root partition instead of the MBR. Just a stupid mistake. Thanks for your interest in helping.

Do you get _any_ other messages? Also, are those spaces really present before and after "GRUB"?
