linux install

iam two hard disks ,

in the first Disk, i installed windows xp and windows NT
so , in the second hard disk , i want to install linux OS,

how to install , CAn any body help me ...

Atleast suggest me a material for doing installation.

which distro are you planning to install?
installation Process is almost same in all distros but in some distros, like Fedora, there a few things that you should know. check here for Fedora.
unplug First disk and install Linux on Second. plug-in Windows disk after installation and add entry for Windows in /boot/grub/grub.conf or menu.lst for dual boot.

Hi dear can u tell me what is the prob. with my installation steps.
i m giving following command

[root@gbpihed mysql]# /script/mysql_install_db
bash: /script/mysql_install_db: No such file or directory
[root@gbpihed mysql]#

pls tell me

you are not typing exact path of mysql_install_db. navigate to the Folder having 'script' folder using 'cd'. type 'sh' before command.
