Hello fellow linux person, i wonder if you might be able to advise?

I have just loaded ubuntu 2.6.15-26-server on to my ap550 with scis raid disks and recieve the following when i start it up:

booting 'ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15-26-server'

root (hd0,0)
filesystem type ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6-15-26-server root=dev/i20/hda1 ro quiet splash
[linux-bzImage, setup-0x1c00, size=0x16c98f]
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.15-26-server
[linux-initrd @ 0x1f94e00, 0x614c0 bytes]
uncompresssing linux... ok, booting the kernel
[429449410.430000] iop0: device already claimed
[429449410.430000] iop0: DMA / IO allocation I20 controller failed
Alert! /dev/i2o/hdal1 does not exist. droppin off shell!

Am I correct to assume this is telling me my hard disk controller is shot and i need to buy another?

Busybox v1.01 (debian 1:1.01-4ubuntu3) built-in shell (ash)
enter 'help' for a list of built in commands

/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turner off.

Not sure what this is telling me but, i am assuming it is relate to the first issue?

hopefully someone will help me out here.

many thanks for you anticipated help.
