Correct partition for linux installation
i am new user to linux operating ststem. i want to install linux on my system.
So please guide me Correct partition for linux installation and how can i install two operating system like windowa-xp and linux operating system

You'll need to use a partitioning tool to shrink the size of the windows partition. This should leave some empty, unformatted space on your drive. When you are installing linux, make sure that you tell it to install on this empty space. The installer should guide you through everything else.
