Can't Boot To Windows XP
Hi,
This is my first time installing linux.
I install Fedora Core 6 on my 40gb HDD
I choose Remove all partition when installing. The installation was successful
After that I'm thinking to switch back to my Windows XP and I put in the Windows XP CD and try to boot from the CD but it comes up black screen.
It goes like this...
Press any key to boot from CD... and I press <enter>
after that..
Setup is initialising....................
and after this its black screen nothing come up.
Can anyone please help me how to fix this
Thanks

The problem is likely either the cd or hardware-- one of them has changed for the worse since you first installed windows. If you have access to another machine, try booting the cd and see if it makes it further (although don't actually go through with the install), that way at least you can narrow down the problem some.
goodluck!

Windows Installation CD will work after executing that command. you can download Windows 98 bootable floppy from www.bootdisk.comCode:A:\> fdisk /mbr
Good Luck !
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
