    Red face fc6 installation problem dell d600

    hi everybody.

    some time ago i had fc3 running om my dell d600 (no problems). Since I was (and still am) new to linux a friend installed it for me. then things happened harddisk crash, motherboard gone ... anyway i lived for a while without linux but now thought to try to install fc6 by myself... but, problem:
    when the graphical instal mode (first screen) should show up I only see a black screen; when i run "linux lowres" i can see the installation screens, but only the upper half or so of it, which makes the installation fairly impossible. did anybody have similar problems and found a solution to that?

    install Fedora in 'text' mode and configure display settings later on.
