ok here is the basic jist of my post. I have used gentoo pretty extensively and have started to tinker with Linux from Scratch. What I want to do is know how to compile for one machine on another, so I can eliminate all the compilation stuff such as GCC for a small distro (and yes i know about tiny linux, I want to do this myself)
