thats not realyl how drivers work in linux. waht sound card is it?
u need to fidn the driev rmodule name, (we can prob help if u tell us waht card) then either run a wizard for soudn card config (what distro, we might be able to tell u where this is) and if all else fails u can edit /etc/modules.conf manually

must be honest, I'm not that familiar with Suse but when you go into Gnome desktop, is there a "Detect Soundcard" Option in the system tools menu ?
If there is, then it will setup /etc/modules.conf (or however Suse does it) for you.
have fun
Nerderello
Use Suse 10.1 and occasionally play with Kubuntu
Also have Windows 98SE and BeOS
