Help in extracting and installing OpenOffice in Centos4
Hello every one. I am pretty new to Openoffice. I just downloaded open office and I want to install it using documentation from this web page:
http://www.osresources.com/3_16_en.html but it doesn't work.
I downloaded it to a directory called "openoffice" see below
I "cd" into the directory and issued the following command:Code:/downloads/openoffice
But I received the following error:Code:tar xvzpf OOo_2.0.3_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz
Can some one help me to install the file please? I would really much appreciate the person's help.Code:tar: OOo_2.0.3_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now tar: Child returned status 2 tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Thank you.

Try
If that fails, its probably an indication that your package is corrupt and you may have to download it again. The latest OOo version is 2.1.x.Code:$tar zxvf OOo_2.0.3_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz
