installing kernel source?
Hi there.
I just installed slackware 8.1 on my laptop and without really realizing during the installation unchecked (or didn't check) "install kernel source".
My question being, does anybody know how to install the kernel source from cd after the initial installation? I am now needing that source to do some extra pcmcia card module tweaking and it's not there ...obviously.
I'm still a little new to slack (& linux in general) so any help would be greatly appreciated.
can I use "installpkg"?
thanks!

I don't know what package manager Slackware uses, but if it's RPM, just find the RPM on the CDs and run "rpm -ihv file" (where file, of course, should be replaced with the actual filename of the package).
Or, just download the kernel source from http://www.kernel.org/.
