Hey, I am new to Linux ans tried installing it but it can't detect my sata hdd. I inserted the disk my hdd came with and it wont recognize it. I've looked on google and people are saying create your own kernel or download a diff driver so it thinks its an ide. I have a seagate barracuda 80 GB, and not sure which driver I sohuld get or how to create my own kernel .. any help would be great. Oh and I also have a 2nd old school harddrive .. how would I go about installing it on that and then transferring it over?
