    partition magic on my laptop

    Im trying to use partition magic in windows to create a partition so i can install linux with xp on the other partition, but the partition magic task does not create the new partition on my laptop....weird thing is i know it should work because this is what i did with my desktop. any ideas?

    Worst Idea ever

    First off...Partion magic is the worst. Second. Wipe the system clean and set up your partitions with fdisk or something. you'll be happier in the long run.
