Xorg failing with Gentoo Live CD install

I have found a couple of threads relating to this topic, but none had a clear solution, and were only relative to other distro's and error messages. i am currently running ubuntu 7.04. i am bored of it and want to install gentoo. i have made the live cd. when i use it, it works up until i need to load xorg. i get an error message something along the lines of :

"Failure to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.so because it is an undefined symbol."

"Failed to load module "GLcore" (loader failed, 7)"

To try and solve this, i thought it best to do this

Code:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
This didnt work. My graphics are i810 by the way.

My Xorg looks like this:

HTML Code:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf(5) manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Are you trying to use the graphical installer?

The live cd is very buggy and I recommend you do an install using the minimal install cd. By the way, you can just comment out the GLX part in xorg (put a # in front of ' Load "glx"') and that should solve your problem.
