I'm thinking you'll likely have hardware issues trying to install Red Hat 9 on a new PC because RH9 came out over 4 years ago, meaning most of your hardware will not be supported.
The latest Fedora Core might be more supportive of your new hardware.oz

yeah. its Hardware Problem only. try lastest version of Fedora or CentOS. both of these are RedHat based.
if you want to stick with RH9 only, Upgrade BIOS if possible. i am not sure if it will work and its possible that you will face a lot of hardware/software issues after successful Installation of RH9.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
