Fedora 6 Problem

i keep getting a weird message when i try to login.

the greeter applocation appears to be crashing. attempting to use another one.

this is the first time i booted the computer up since i put linux on it, and i can't login. i'd appreciate any help.

You need to give more info like what type hardware eg: graphics card,processor,memory size. You imply that just before the "graphical login" it crashes? What does the message say?

This problem would have been better served if posted in the Fedora/Red Hat forum I believe.
