Need OS to run on OLD Mac or password cracking info. PLEASE HELP! =O

Hi there, I wasn't really too sue where I should post this.
A friend of mine has some very important info stored on her Mac Powerbook 3600C.
I realise this is on the cusp of not realy being Linux help but the info is realy important.
The problem is that the she has no idea what the password is. If anyone even knew where to look for password cracking info it would be much appreciated.
Thanks for clicking the thread guys.

If you're looking for a Linux distro to run on an old Mac, any major distribution will work. Just make sure you download the PowerPC version and not the X86 or X86_64 version.

We cannot help you with cracking information however. Locked.
