ted.stevens Just Joined! Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 7	Ubuntu freezes on startup... :( Hello. I just installed Ubuntu 6.10 on my system. For some reason when the Ubuntu logo appears and the progress bar fills up my computer freezes and I'm left with only the Ubuntu logo and some horizontal colored lines through the middle of my screen. I've had the same problem before with another system but the thing is is that I forgot how to fix this problem. I know it has to do something with my video card (ATI X800 Pro). I'd appreciate it if someone would help me. thanks.
