Good "Old World" Mac Distro
Hello,
I recently acquired a Power Macintosh 5500/250. I am interested in getting Linux installed on it. I have done some research and I have been able to install BootX 1.2.2. However, I'm new to Linux and I was wondering if anybody could suggest a good distro that would run on such an old mac. I'm not looking for any sort of desktop environment, just a basic distro with a shell.
Thanks.

Try Yellow Dog.
I have never tried this distro, and I have never owned any sort of Mac, I have just heard that this distro was made for Macs. How to know if you are a geek.

Something light like Debian with a lightweight WM, maybe Gentoo or Arch may work
