    cant install



    ok,
    when i run dsl on my laptop from live cd i try to install to the hard drive
    when it gets through with all the confirmation stuff it closes the window and doesnt do anything.
    i also tried to install knoppix and xubuntu but when the get done loading stuff like the kernel the screen just gos black
    can someone please tell me wuts up with this

    post your machine's specs here. it looks like Graphics Card problem.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    this is what i found for it on google

    Video
    Installed Video Memory 8 MB
    External Video Resolution 1280 x 1024

    thats what video is

    the ram has been upgraded to 128mb
    the processor speed is 400mhz
    it boots dsl up all the way. when i try to install it messes up with no error messages.
