    Installing Knoppix

    HI,
Im have Knoppix STD 0.1b and i'm wondering how to install it on my hard drive. This hard drive has nothing on it. I went to the Knoppix STD website and it said run these commands, knx-hdinstall and knoppix-installer. But it doesn't tell where to run it. Could someone please help. Thanks

I didn't even know you could install knoppix!

login as root in any terminal, cd to the cd (hehe) and run the script!

Click on the K in the lower-right hand corner to bring up a menu. From there, click on 'Run command...' When the window comes up, type in one of the commands and hit Enter. "knx-hdinstall" did not register on my machine, though. Good luck!

Might also be a good idea to prepare the partitions on your hard disk first. Unless you want to give the whole disk to knoppix.
