    Dual Booting List

    So I installed WinXP and Kubuntu (Dual Boot)
    Now when the PC starts I get
    Kubuntu...
    Other Operating Systems:
    Windows XP

    I want to change this so that WinXP loads by deafult
    (If nothing happened for 20 sec load WinXP not Kubuntu...)

    how?

    boot up Kubuntu, press Alt+F2 and type this
    Code:
    kdesu kate /boot/grub/menu.lst
    this will open menu.lst file with root privileges. Count title lines and set default value to Windows title line no -1.
    lest say, Windows title line is 5th, set default 4.
    set timeout value to 20. save file and reboot.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
