install window xp from linux basis
Hi, guys:
My PC has a Red Hat Linux 9.0 installed. I also have a Windows OS on another hard disk partition. How ever, the Windows is crack down recently. So can I install window xp from linux and how?

if you were to onstall XP from the CD, all that you would need to do is boot from the CD. XP should then ignore your Linux and give you the choice of writing over Win98.
One point though, Windows normally demands to be on the first hard disk (you can get around this with GRUB by using the map facility, although I'm not sure if that will work during install.).
Make sure that you have a Linux or Grub rescue disk before attempting thi.

Simple Work around:

boot with CD and install windows... your linux GRUB will not be disturbed. and then you change the boot sequence back to
1. linux hdd
2. windows hdd
3. CD
