Help booting from DVD
Hello, I just got the Fedora Core 6 DVD and I want to remove windows from drive C: and installed Linux instead of it. Though, the DVD is not booting and I even tried a Windows XP bootable CD and it's not booting. I'm on Windows XP Home Edition.
Please advise on how to boot from the "damn" Dvd.

Hi and Welcome !
set CD Drive as First Boot Device in BIOS. press Esc key ( its Del, F8, F11 keys in some machines) at Startup to enter in BIOS Setup. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I entered the BIOS and such option isn't there. There is one called Boot Numlock which is set to enabled. Other than this, nothing. :S

Can it boot from a floppy? If so, you can try Smart Boot Manager Download , it will allow you to boot from the CD
