I have a bunch of ultrasparc sun machines that I would like to put linux on but I haven't been ableto find any up to date versions for sparc. Any tips?

yeah... found that they all seemed very out of date and/or unsupported and/or dead links
I seem to remember Debian having a Sparc version. If you're just looking for an OS in general (not necessarily Linux) you could also try the latest version of Solaris.
I have installed solaris on a few of the machines but solaris isn't very user friendly for guests who might want to use a guest computer. I am looking for something a thwould seem a little more familiar.

Debian for Sparc - http://www.debian.org/ports/sparc/. I don't know if that applies to you but if it does, super!
