Has anyone installed linux by cd on a windows 95 machine? My machine's not connected to the internet so i'm trying to install by disk. But apparently you have to create a custom boot disk containing the 16-bit driver for your particular cdrom. Is there a way for me to hook it up to the internet and avoid all this booting stuff? Thanks.

I'm not sure what you're asking..? You want to boot without getting the machine on the 'Net? Can you not boot from CD? Can you connect to the 'Net in Win95 (or on another machine)? If so, I suggest one of the Slackware floppy images that will allow you to boot from a CDROM even if the BIOS doesn't. I believe I used this one to do the same thing. 8)
