I want to install slackware 10.1 dvd version on 2 computers that dont support botting from dvd. One has a working floppy drive and the other hasnt.

I want to install slackware 10.1 dvd version on 2 computers that dont support botting from dvd. One has a working floppy drive and the other hasnt.

On the computer that has a working floppy drive you can try downloading SBM (http://btmgr.webframe.org/) and write it to a floppy. Then boot from the floppy and choose your DVD-drive.
For the other computer you'll have to move the working flppy drive to it or you'll have to download the CD-sets (if it can boot from CD). There is no difference between the DVD and the CD version except the installation medium.
Or... you could download the CD ISO's and burn 'em up, and boot from that (unless not being able to boot from DVD also includes CD's, in which case I'd recommend following nalg0rath's suggestions).
i tried booting from dvd on both of those computers and they both work!?!
One of the computers is 7+ years old yet it still boots from dvd?!?
i will still need something like SBM though.
