bus error when attempting chroot
hello, recently I found I needed to install Slackware. The installation goes fine until it gets to "reconfigure", where it hangs on "Please wait while we run mkfontscale and mkfontdir in your font directories". I cannot get it past this point so I thought maybe chrooting into the installed system and running "setup" from there would make a difference. However, when I try chroot /mnt, it also hangs. So then I thought well I'll do it from Ubuntu, which I currently have installed on a seperate partition. I booted into Ubuntu, mounted the Slackware partition and tried it from there, but it hangs and then tells me "Bus error".
What could be the problem? Could it have something to do with resizing partitions? I recently shrank my windows partition so I could install Slackware, using EASEUS Partition Manager.
