Can run from USB, but won't permanently install.
I've been trying to install various Linux distros alongside Windows 8, with no luck. Mint and OpenSUSE KDE are the ones that seem to be the most successful so far. Both of them allow me to boot from the LiveUSB, and I run the install, but then when I restart the computer without the USB, it just goes straight to Windows 8. What am I doing wrong?
I had to mess around with boot order/UEFI stuff in order to get it to boot from USB, do I need to change anything again to get it to boot from hard disk?
Not entirely sure what to do with partitions... I was creating a ~20GB ext4 partition before booting from the USB, is that right?
If someone wants to just give me good step-by-step instructions on what to do with a LiveUSB, including any partitioning and what-not I need to do, I'd appreciate it. Because I am at a loss right now.
