compaq 810c

i have a old compaq 810c running windows ce but i am wondering if linux will runn on it (replaceing ce) does any one know how?? :roll:

probably, but what are the PC's specs? (RAM, processor and speed, disk size etc., CDROM?).

The thing to remember is that Linux will run on a whole lot of different hardware, but it may run slowly, if the hardware is slow itself.

I'm sure you can find a distro to run on that (it's a palm pc, right?) but you will have to find something specificaly designed to run on these devices. your standard redhat distro wont work too well.
