Debian installation looping when "setting up" pack
Hiya,
im trying to install Debian 3.0_r1. The base installation runs smoothly, apart from a small problem with video display (SIS. After restarting the system, choosing packages, and downloading security updated packages, it goes into the "setting up" stage. This stage goes along happily for about 5 minutes, then a few packages after GCC, the screen seems to get stuck in a loop, of saying "settup up xyz" packages, looping really fast its elegible. the keyboard is un-responsive, and installation stops. (this part is textual only - no GUI)
Any ideas?
Tried installing more than once, different option etc, same thing happens.
I tried reading the /var/log/installer.log from a command prompt, the screen just loops a load of crap again and the keyboard stops working.
