Hehe, one of the joys that Debian brings is taking care of dependencies when apt is utilized.

I'm sure there's a perfectly sensible way to figure out your dependancies, but have you looked at the debian apt-get rpms for RedHat? I'll be checking it out next time I have to setup RedHat. I believe this should take care of dependancies automatically. http://freshrpms.net/apt/
I found that Connectiva had ported it but I knew that Red Hat didn't. Well, if the technology exists, go for it. In my opinion, apt is one of the best programs that exists.
All you need to do is download those other rpms and install them. I don't see what is so difficult.
